Can you picture it? The windows are open, that cool fall breeze is swirling through your house, you are watching the leaves fall from the tree outside, and it is the perfect day to have the oven on and bake something delicious with your little ones. Maybe you are going to a friend’s house to watch the football games, or are having cousins come back to your house after a morning of apple picking, or maybe you just want to do something with your little ones in the kitchen.

No excuse needed to bake some fall goodies together! There are plenty of recipes out there, but I have compiled a few that are sure to be both delicious and fun to make together.

Marbled Fall Leaf Cookies

Cookies in general are always a hit, so adding a marbled effect and cutting them out into the shape of leaves is a great choice for this Fall season!

Pumpkin Pie Twists

This simple recipe allows your little ones to be as involved as you would like them to be – let your child mix the ingredients, spread the puree, or twist the crescents. Pop these in the oven and your house will surely smell like Fall!

Cinnamon Sugar Chips

These are both adorable and easy to make this Fall season! Add a fruit salsa, or just enjoy these chips on their own, but either way your little ones are sure to find a new favorite snack.

Mini Apple Pies

This recipe is a little more involved, so consider your little ones age and kitchen skills before deciding to jump into these mini apple pies. Not much else says Fall quite like apple pie, so this is surely to be a hit with your guests this season. (Also a great way to use all those apples you picked this weekend!)

Pumpkin Donut Holes

This is another recipe that might be better for older children, but it is definitely a perfect Fall recipe! It incorporates pumpkin, cinnamon sugar and warm donuts, need I say more?!

Caramel Apple Cupcakes

Every kid  loves to eat cupcakes, so get those little hands involved in making these delicious caramel apple cupcakes. This is also a great way to use those apples you picked together!

Sometimes the perfect Fall day involves making memories together in the kitchen. There are so many creative and delicious recipes out there, but at the end of the day your children just want to spend time with you. Open up some windows, wear those cozy socks, and preheat the oven – it is going to be a lovely Fall season.
