For moms, you’re Instagram algorithm might show you accounts that fit a few specific categories, like wholesome family humor, craft ideas, parenting tips, news related to childcare and education, etc. Many of these are relatable and even helpful, informing us about important issues and giving us mamas ideas for meals, activities, and gifts.

  1. @dustinpoynter: Dustin Poynter is known is Red Flag Guy. He responds to online videos and reels showing bad behavior in relationships (for example, pranks that have gone too far, unequal responsibilities between spouses, etc.) by running through a field with a giant red flag. In just a few seconds, he grabs your attention, calls out bad behavior, and reminds us that no one deserves to be treated poorly. His funny mannerisms might even make you laugh. He comes across as a sweet, relatable guy who is not afraid of vulnerability, sensitivity, and emotions. He’s also started reacting to positive stories with a giant green flag.
  2. @jimmy_on_relationships: Jimmy puts together skits that show positive and negative interactions between spouses. He’s not a counselor or mental health professional; instead, his openness about his role as a husband and father make him relatable and down-to-earth. We All Deserve Better

It’s important to have high standards for ourselves and others. We should never put up with abuse or disrespect from parents, spouses, doctors, or anyone! When we internalize the belief that we are special beings, we can extend that belief to others. The end result is a more harmonious society for all.
