Easter is right around the corner and now is the perfect time to start getting Easter basket ideas for your toddler. I love to do baskets, decorate or do any activity for every holiday not only because it is fun but my toddlers enjoy it. We normally have an Easter egg hunt outside as well as have baskets set out for the kids in the morning.
Your Easter basket items do not need to be over the top. I’m a big fan of having a few fun items as well as a few practical items that they may need anyway like clothes or things for an upcoming trip. Here are some fun Easter Basket Ideas for Toddlers.
Outdoor Toys
The weather is getting warmer and I don’t know about your kids but mine love to be outside and would be outside all day long if I let them so anything to play with outside is a great option for Spring and Summer. Things like water table toys, frisbees, big balls to kick around, bubbles, and sidewalk chalk are great ideas for your toddler’s Easter Basket. Since we have a beach trip planned for the Spring my kids are also getting some sand toys that they can use on our trip but also at home in the grass or sandbox, if you have one.
Puzzles
There are so many different kinds of puzzles out there that they are a great option, especially for toddlers. My kids love the wooden puzzles as well as the magnetic ones that make it easy for all the pieces to stay together. The wooden ones are more durable and will last longer than regular puzzles because toddlers can be rough. You can find puzzles just about anywhere in any theme that your kid loves.
Art Supplies/ Stickers
Toddlers are big fans of stickers and arts and crafts, at least at our house. My kids can be entertained by a sticker book for a while and love to stick stickers on a long roll of easel paper which is another fabulous thing to get your kids. Reusable stickers are also a great option and there are tons of different reusable sticker book themes. Art supplies like crayons, markers, and coloring books are great things to have on hand and in a theme your kids love. We have all kinds of crayons and coloring books at our house, my kids always want to color and it keeps them occupied and quiet, they are also great options for travel.
Books
I don’t know about your toddlers but mine love to read so we have a lot of books. We normally get at least one book for the holiday which is another non-holiday-themed book. For the holiday-themed books, you can rotate them out each year during that holiday. The regular books they can read all year round and getting a few books here and there will help build up a little library for them as they grow.
Playdough/ Kinetic Sand
Playdough and kinetic sand are some fun things that your kids can play with. If you already have some of these you could always get some molds, cutters, or rolling pins to go with it. My kids are fans of using their hands and it also makes for good sensory play.
Cooking/Eating utensils
A great item that I got for my kids for Christmas was kids cooking utensils like a whisk, rolling pin, and tongs since they love to help cook. They are the perfect size for them. We also got some kids safe knives that cut which allows them to help but also are safe for them to use. Another great option would be some new fun forks, spoons, or even some plates and bowls for them. My kids are also big fans of different drinking cups and snack containers. The best snack containers for when you are out and about that double as a toy are these snack spinners.
