Easter is right around the corner! Now is a great time to gather everything for your baby’s Easter basket. I’m a mom of three so I will tell you that you do not need to go overboard, keep it simple, your baby will be excited for whatever you add to their basket. The simpler the better it will be for you too because babies do not need a ton in general and if you are like me, excess stuff is unnecessary.

I am a fan of doing a few fun things but also practical items that you might be buying anyway. Things like blankets, clothes, pajamas, socks, shoes, summer hats, or bows are great ideas. You can also get a few of those things through Caden Lane, they have so many options. I’ve got some other ideas for you too!

Books

Books are a great option for any holiday. I like getting at least one for that particular holiday and another non-holiday-themed book for my kids. Board books are great for little ones because they are less likely to tear them up. They also make indestructible books as well as fabric books which are great for babies to play with since they put everything in their mouth. Bonus one book every so often will build your child’s little library as they grow.

Bath Toys

There are so many different options for bath toys that you can’t go wrong. It is something for babies to play with during bath time and to make bath time more fun for them. Also, great options for bath time are bath crayons or bath paints for a treat.

Teething toys

Babies put everything in their mouths and are always getting new teeth teethers are always necessary. Sophie the giraffe is a cute toy and teether that my kids liked. Other great options that were recommended by an Occupational therapist were hollow teether tubes as well as baby hand teethers that they can hold but still chew on like this one.

Soft toys

Stuffed animals or the ever-popular squishmallows are a great option for babies to play with and add to their basket. Things like soft or silicone blocks or animals are also great because they can not only play with them but they are okay items for them to put in their mouth because that is inevitable when it comes to babies.

Baby food/ Snacks

Babies don’t need any candy or chocolate so opting for things that they can and will eat are great basket items. Baby food in a jar or pouch or things like teething cookies or snacks are great! Snacks and food are items that you will be buying anyway so that makes it a win-win.

Keepsake/Easter-themed item

It is Easter after all so having a fun Easter-themed item like an outfit, bib, or even photo frame saying “My First Easter” is another great option. It’s also a great photo op and something to add to their baby book or box for their first Easter!

There are so many other Easter Basket ideas for babies out there but my advice is to get things that are practical and fun that will grow with your baby. Things that you can use this spring and summer since it’s right around the corner are also great options. Have fun with it, no matter what you add your baby will love it!
