We love cheering on mothers in all their passions! Luckily, it’s easy to act as cheerleaders for the many artists who spend their days raising children and creating masterpieces.

There are thousands of artists on Instagram, many of them mamas. We’ve pulled together a handful of great accounts to showcase the vastness in talent and style. Some of these accounts have large followings, and some are smaller. But the creativity and skill is there in each of them!

Take a look and maybe you’ll find some new art that inspires you as a mom and a woman. Your feelings and thoughts might be stirred by some of this work!

Meet the Moms/Artists

Follow these mamas and enjoy their creations! Maybe you’ll buy one of their works for your home, or maybe you’ll be inspired to get creative yourself! Either way, we think you’ll love these special ladies!

@marciedawnphoto: This California-based photographer is a mama of one, with one on the way. She’s a bohemian to her core, a lover of all things natural, magical, fantastical, and spiritual. While she does portrait sessions, she also does fine art photography, sometimes modeling herself. She also creates many of her own clothes and props.

@annupton.art: Ann is a homesteading mom who makes the most vibrant, colorful works of art! When she’s not playing with her kids, feeding her animals, or cooking in the kitchen, she’s painting with all the colors of the rainbow (and often gold leaf). She paints abstract designs on canvases for display, but she also transforms furniture and appliances into bold and unique masterpieces!

@yellowquakies: Mom-of-two Shaylee is a Utah-based artist and graphic designer. She uses multiple mediums to create prints and patterns that are downright adorable. Shaylee brings her sweet personality to her beautiful work, which often features florals, nature, landscapes, and tables of motherhood.

@kccolesart: Kristal’s kids are growing up and her art is taking off! She is a mixed-media artist who often features animals and the desert in her work. She loves sharing her process and inspiration with others, and the world is lucky to have her talent!

@itswhitneykay: Whitney is a mom to two teenage girls, and she’s also an incredible artist! Much of her art is digital. She does portraits as well as fantasy drawings and fan art. She’s illustrated books and board games, and you can often find her at conventions! Whitney can also help with logos, invitations, and the like. Her work is colorful, fun, and bold.

@juliaspowellart: Julia is a renowned artist who expertly uses color and texture to create the most stunning paintings. Much of her work is floral and nature landscapes. She captures an ethereal, dreamlike quality while still using vibrant, vivid hues. Her feed is full of her masterpiece, of course, with sprinkling of her relatable family life.

@hellolovelypeople_: Kristin is a mom and watercolorist who brings people together with her art. She offers painting tutorials online and at amazing retreats! Her works are charming and lovely, just as her handle implies. She believes anyone can learn to paint and shares lots of easy holiday-themed how-to videos on her account.

Art Is Unifying for Mothers

You don’t have to be especially artistic to connect with and appreciate art. It’s about expression and emotion. And whether you like bold abstracts or more subdued portraits, you are guaranteed to find others who can express through art the thoughts and feelings that you have.

When you add motherhood to the mix of feelings that an artist might express, a whole new community joins together to share, collaborate, and support the ups and downs that go along with this important role.

So, support the artist moms out there! They are bringing us together in a truly special way.

“A woman is the full circle. Within her is the power to create, nurture, and transform.”
